La Traca

Transgression as a Norm

Centre Cultural La Nau. Octubre 2016

The exhibition features a satirical weekly magazine that reached half a million copies at the time of its publication. The magazine was created in 1884 and disappeared in 1939 after the end of the Spanish Civil War and the execution of its owner, Vicente Miguel Carceller. The design of the exhibition consists of a series of original showcases and large printed panels that show, chronologically, the history of the magazine and the treatment it made of the hottest issues. The reproduction of large-format illustrations offers another perspective of the drawings, making them more spectacular and turning the piece into proper scenography.
