Exhibition of over 200 Greek painted clay figures made during the fourth and third centuries BC, first discovered in 1870 in the tombs of the Greek city of Tanagra and from the Department of Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities in the Louvre Museum.
The pieces are set in wall cabinets with a continuous horizontal cut, like a hole in the ground where the figures appear as if they were in the tomb itself.
The interior lighting of the wall cabinets, and with a color contrasting with the overall room, makes the opening where the pieces are positioned easier to view, allowing it to dominate the scene.
