Primers moments

The exhibition features 33 works acquired by Generalitat Valenciana as a first approximation to the contemporary artistic scene of the Valencian Community. The pieces are displayed in Centre del Carme, in three separate rooms. The different techniques used in the exhibition increased the overall difficulty of its assembly and staging, since photography, painting and sculptures were combined with multimedia, site-specific, interactive installations. Our work consisted in finding the right place for each work so it would not be visually or conceptually contaminated, while facilitating that each and every work could be read both individually and as a whole. The photographs have been loaned by “Col·lecció d'Art Contemporani de la Generalitat Valenciana”.
