The Bancaja Foundation focuses on the tempting stereotype of Marilyn Monroe through the eyes of some of the Magnum Agency photographers. The thirty-four photographs, taken by Eve Arnold, Bruce Davidson, Elliot Erwitt, Philippe Halsman, Erich Hartmann and Inge Morath, offer a "multiple portrait" of Marilyn.
The original pictures are placed on a black band, as a frieze or film, which also contains the extended handwritten quotes taken from Marilyn´s diary or paragraphs from her memoirs. The frieze is interrupted occasionally with enlargements of photographs of the protagonist, at certain points in the room where the visitor's gaze has more visual distance. The overall composition, in black and white, strengthens the texture of the original photographic technique.
